About
Some jobs need a full custom build. Some just need timber machined accurately so the rest of the project can move forward. The focus is straightforward: clear design, suitable materials and work that suits how it will be used.
Work
A few finished pieces and workshop progress. More project photos will be added over time.
Solid timber bathroom storage made to suit the room, fixtures and available space.
Custom coffee tables and low tables made to suit the space, timber and proportions of the room.
Built-in bench seating with storage below, made around the room and window layout.
Examples of joinery and shaped solid timber components made accurately in the workshop.
Material flattened, straightened and thicknessed so it is ready for furniture, joinery or glue-ups.
Process
For custom work, the design stage confirms the size, layout, material choices and details before timber is ordered or cut.
Send photos, rough sizes, timber preferences and where the piece will go. A quick sketch is fine.
A non-refundable CAD design deposit is paid before detailed design work starts.
Three design iterations are included. This is where the size, layout and details are adjusted before the design is locked in.
Once the design is locked in, the CAD cost comes off the final project price. Then the build deposit is paid and the project moves into production.
Timber machining
Bring in material that needs flattening, straightening or thicknessing. Useful for makers, builders, DIY jobs and timber that is not ready to use off the rack.
